JASON BERNSTEIN // PRESIDENT

Prior to forming Clarity Sports, Jason was a member and co-owner of X-A-M Sports, helping to build it from the ground up to become one of the most successful athlete representation firms in the country. An attorney and NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, Jason graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 2005 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Tufts University in 2002. In addition to nearly 15 years working in the athlete representation and sports marketing business, Jason had previously worked with prominent intellectual property and telecommunications law firms in the Washington DC area, and is a member of the Maryland Bar. Just over the past year, Jason has negotiated several of the largest player contracts in the NFL, including: an extension for 49ers' QB Colin Kaepernick making him one of the highest paid players in league history, long-term extensions for Eagles' Center Jason Kelce and Steelers' CB Cortez Allen placing them amongst the top paid players at their respective positions, lucrative free agent deals for Redskins' WR Andre Roberts and Broncos' TE Virgil Green, and a contract restructure for Eagles' LB Connor Barwin earning him a pay increase just two years into a 6-year contract. Jason has represented many of the top NFL Draft classes over the past decade, including a consistent trend of clients drafted in the early rounds of the NFL Draft each year. Jason currently resides in Potomac, Maryland.

EMILY RIES // DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & CLIENT RELATIONS

Emily brings an extensive background in sports marketing and professional athlete client relations to the Clarity Sports team. Her support, dedication, and personal attention through a vast network of contacts helps get the players what they want and need. At just 22 years old, Emily formed Level 5 Sports, LLC and quickly learned the ins and outs of the sports industry while working with members of the Baltimore Ravens on local marketing deals, autograph deals, charity events, as well as day-to-day needs. She proved to be trustworthy and highly effective, and her age helped provide a different perspective on the business. Emily then spent five years at Under Armour where she negotiated endorsement deals and served as the primary contact for NFL players. Known as "the Under Armour Girl" because her presence in professional football as a young woman was so unusual, Emily quickly earned a reputation for her integrity, hard work, and ability to build sincere, trusting relationships. Most recently, Emily founded Blitz Sports Group, LLC where she assisted athletes and companies with social media and marketing campaigns, and consulted with corporate sponsors on athlete endorsements. Emily has been selected as a member of the NFLPA Marketing Representative Advisory Committee for 2015, a position afforded to a select group of marketing representatives in the industry. Emily received her Bachelor's from the University of Massachusetts' elite Sport Marketing program. She lives in Baltimore, MD.

Bruce bernstein // Vice president, legal consultant

Bruce is a legal and business consultant to Clarity, and an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor and is an NFLPA certified Contract Advisor. Since 1985, he has been one of the managing partners of Greenblum & Bernstein, LLC, a leading intellectual property law firm in the Washington D.C. area. Bruce earned his Bachelor of Science in applied Physics from Tufts University in 1973, and his JD from Georgetown University in 1977. While at Tufts, Bruce played collegiate basketball for four years, and is a member of the 1972-1973 Tufts Varsity basketball team that was inducted into the New England College Basketball Hall of Fame. Since 2009, Bruce has been a co-owner of X-A-M Sports/Clarity Sports, dealing mainly with NFL players, and has provided business advice and negotiation experience in that role, including assisting in designing branding and trademark strategies for players. He speaks Japanese and travels extensively in Asia, from which platform he can support marketing and endorsement opportunities outside of the United States.

DAVE-TE THOMAS // SCOUTING CONSULTANT

Dave-Te Thomas has been an accomplished NFL talent evaluator since 1983, and serves as Clarity Sports’ scouting consultant. In addition, Dave-Te runs Scouting Services Inc. which produces a publication provided by league headquarters to the media in preparation for the NFL Draft. Dave-Te has scouted NFL talent for the past 40 years, and also previously served in the United States Football League as a scouting information consultant. He has also co-hosted several television programs, including ESPN Fiesta Bowl College Gameday Show with Kevin Ray and Beano Cook, ESPN’s KMOX-St. Louis, Cox Cable’s NFL Draft Report along with Paul Crane, and Versus Network’s Countdown to the NFL Draft. His abilities as a writer are proven, as his work has been featured in over 100 college media guides, including College & Pro Football News Weekly, Associated Press, Giants Weekly, New York Daily News, Atlanta-Journal Constitution, San Jose Bee and the San Francisco Chronicle.

JEFF ABELSON // CHIEF BRANDING OFFICER

Jeff Abelson is an award-winning graphic designer who establishes brand identities through innovative, forward-thinking designs. After graduating from Hofstra University in 2005 with a degree in graphic design, Jeff attended Miami Ad School, becoming well versed in the world of advertising. Jeff has excelled as an Art Director for several leading advertising agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Hal Riney, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and Wunderman. His work has been globally recognized, receiving honors at the industry’s top award ceremonies, including the Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, London International Awards, and Addy Awards. Jeff joined the Clarity Sports team in 2015, spearheading the agency’s re-branding effort and working with clients on individual branding, logos and website design. His depth of industry knowledge and extensive experience, combined with his passion and understanding of the professional sports industry, make Jeff an extremely unique asset to Clarity Sports' clients. Jeff is the original designer for the official personalized logos for Colin Kaepernick, Devin Smith, Jalin Marshall and Bishop Sankey, among others. Jeff currently resides in Washington D.C.
